This Data Deletion Policy ensures transparency in how we handle the timely and secure deletion of inactive data and data after contract termination, in line with applicable laws and best practices.
We recognize the importance of not retaining inactive data indefinitely. To address this, we have implemented a policy to purge inactive data after a defined period. Student data will be retained for one year after a student becomes inactive on our platform. Before permanently deleting inactive student data, we provide schools with a 30-day advance notice. After the one-year period of inactivity has elapsed, the data will be purged from our systems, ensuring that it is irretrievable.
In the event of contract termination with a school, we also have measures in place to regularly delete data. All associated data will be retained for one year after the termination of the contract. After this retention period, the data will be purged to maintain compliance with data retention standards.
There are exceptions to these timelines in cases where applicable laws or regulatory obligations require data retention for a longer period. In such instances, the data will be securely stored and only retained for the legally mandated duration. Additionally, schools may request the earlier deletion of data by contacting our support team. We will work with the requesting school to ensure data is deleted in compliance with applicable laws and agreements.
We employ industry-standard practices to ensure all data deletions are secure and permanent. Deleted data is removed from active systems, backups, and redundant environments, making it irretrievable.
